figurtive language

At first, I thought imagery was something you imagine, but I learned that this was wrong [or right]. Actually, imagery is a language that appeals to the five senses
I also learned about figurative language. I used to think figurative language was a picture that describes a language, but I learned that figurative language is world or phrase that describes one thing in terms of another and is not meant to be understand on a literal level The three main types of figurative language are simile, metaphor, and personification.
