figurtive language

At first, I thought imagery was something you imagine, but I learned that this was wrong [or right]. Actually, imagery is a language that appeals to the five senses
I also learned about figurative language. I used to think figurative language was a picture that describes a language, but I learned that figurative language is world or phrase that describes one thing in terms of another and is not meant to be understand on a literal level The three main types of figurative language are simile, metaphor, and personification.

Figurtive language games

The best figurative language game I played tonight is simile match game, because…i learned similes that i did not know before. In order to play this game, I had to …think a lot. Another enjoyable figurative language game is paint an ideam, because i was having fun. In order to play this game, I had to start over many times. My final score on this game was 70%. If you want to play this game, go to this link [http://www.funbrain.com/cgi-bin/words.cgi]. (___/6)

My least favorite figurative language game is drag and drop, because you can just guess. In order to play this game, I had to drag anything into the word next to it. My final score on this game was 100%. If you want to play this game, go to this link [http://www.kidsonthenet.org.uk/dragonsville/metaphor1.htm].

Irony & Ambuiguity

- At first, I thought irony was the opposite of what was going to happen in the story , but I learned that this was wrong. Actually, irony is The difference between what the reader expect or what it seems suitable and the reality of what happens
-There are three types of irony are Dramatic irony, Verbal irony, and Situational irony
I also learned about ambiguity. I used to think ambiguity was when you guess on what is going to happened in the end but I learned that ambiguity is a part of text with meanings in which something can be interpreted in a numbers of different ways
On my irony and ambiguity pretest, I was below grade-level. On my posttest, I hope that I will be at grade-level.
